Medicaid DSH

The Medicaid disproportionate share hospital (DSH) program provides payments to hospitals that serve a high proportion of Medicaid beneficiaries and uninsured patients to offset a portion of hospitals’ uncompensated care. Medicaid DSH funding is an essential program for safety net hospitals and GNYHA works closely with member hospitals to update them on any program changes.
