Shanaz Chery joined GNYHA’s Center for GME, Health Workforce, and Population Health in 2020. She leads social determinants of health programming and related population health initiatives. Ms. Chery also oversees GNYHA’s Health Information Tool for Empowerment (HITE). She is responsible for operations, provider training, and increasing overall engagement. Prior to joining GNYHA, she held several positions at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Ms. Chery earned a BS in Public Health from CUNY Brooklyn College, and an MS in Public Health at CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy.
