Ismail Sirtalan joined GNYHA’s Health Economics and Finance Department in 1995. Dr. Sirtalan is responsible for econometric and statistical analyses in the areas of risk-adjusted comparative quality and efficiency analyses, hospital utilization patterns, and national payment policies. Before joining GNYHA, he worked for Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health, the National Bureau of Economic Research, and Hunter College. Dr. Sirtalan earned a BA in Economics and Political Science from Bogazici University in Istanbul and a PhD in Economics from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York.
