Emily Leish joined GNYHA in 2022. She is responsible for helping GNYHA members navigate payer relationships and advocating on behalf of members with respect to insurance and managed care policy issues. Before joining GNYHA, Ms. Leish was a Vice President in Northwell Health’s Office of Legal Affairs and held various legal and business executive roles at CareConnect Insurance Company and Northwell’s managed long term care and fully integrated duals advantage plans, including Senior Vice President, Health Care Delivery Integration & Chief Regulatory Affairs Officer. Prior to her time at Northwell, Ms. Leish was in-house counsel for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts and worked in the health care groups of two law firms representing providers, payers, and regulators. She earned a BA from the University of Chicago and a JD from Columbia Law School.
