Doug Scaffidi joined GNYHA in 2026. His work supports member institutions on a broad range of areas related to graduate medical education (GME), health workforce, and other policy issues. This includes monitoring changes to accreditation and regulatory requirements and developing resources for member hospitals focused on GME and workforce policy. Prior to joining GNYHA, Mr. Scaffidi worked at a large academic medical center in Boston and at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where he earned his MPH in Health Policy. He also holds a BS from Syracuse University.
