March 25, 2024

The welcome reception for the 15th GNYHA/United Hospital Fund (UHF) Clinical Quality Fellowship Program (CQFP) class took place on March 13 at the Louis V. Gerstner Conference Center in Armonk, NY. The reception was followed by a two-day learning retreat that focused on the role of quality in health care, how regulatory and accrediting bodies intersect with quality, and implementing tools for health care quality. The participants—including fellows, faculty members, and program mentors—benefited from the retreat’s networking opportunities.

Various specialties are represented, including emergency medicine, ambulatory care, internal medicine and geriatrics, nursing leadership, psychiatry, obstetrics and gynecology, neurology, and quality and patient safety. CQFP fellows are required to lead a quality improvement capstone project at their facility under the guidance of an expert mentor.
