Emergency regulations that the New York State Department of Financial Services issued last spring requiring New York insurers to waive all cost sharing for services required to diagnose or test for COVID-19 have been extended for 30 days until July 6, 2021. Also, the mandate to cover COVID-19 vaccination without cost sharing has been extended until June 24, 2021. However, the regulation requiring the waiver of cost sharing for telehealth services has NOT been extended. Cost-sharing amounts for telehealth services should be collected as of June 4, 2021.
