GNYHA will host a webinar on April 20 on palliative care needs and resources for clinicians treating critically ill patients during the COVID-19 crisis.

Dana Lustbader, MD, FCMM, Chair, Department of Palliative Medicine at ProHEALTH, and R. Sean Morrison, MD, Chair, Department of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine, Mount Sinai System, and Professor, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, will discuss effective strategies for clinicians to communicate with patients and families when patients have predictors of poor outcomes and require active symptom management. The webinar will cover actionable approaches and strategies on how palliative care teams can support emergency department and intensive care unit patients, as well as frontline staff caring for critically ill or terminally ill patients, during this unprecedented pandemic.
