FIFA World Cup

From June 11 to July 19, 2026, the New York City metropolitan area will host a variety of special events associated with both the FIFA World Cup and US Independence Day celebrations. GNYHA is coordinating closely with government agencies in NYC and New Jersey on health and medical planning, focusing on ensuring awareness of the changing event landscape and enhancing hospital readiness through coordination with health and medical working groups. We will issue periodic digests of situational awareness information and event-specific updates as planning progresses.
