This tracker lists all blanket waivers to existing laws (i.e. covers all hospitals in the emergency area – in this case all of the US) and enforcement discretions that have thus far been granted by the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) or other federal agencies in response to the COVID-19 emergency. It also indicates the requests for waivers that were made by New York State and CMS’ response to those requests.

COVID-19 Diagnosis and Testing Cost-Sharing Waivers/Vaccine Coverage Mandate Extended
The New York State Department of Financial Services emergency regulations requiring the waiver of cost sharing for COVID-19 diagnosis and testing and the coverage of COVID-19 vaccination without cost sharing will remain in effect until March 6, 2023. New York insurers will continue to be responsible for reimbursing hospitals for any applicable cost sharing.
