GNYHA Welcomes 16th CQFP Class with Reception, Learning Retreat

March 24, 2025

The GNYHA/United Hospital Fund Clinical Quality Fellowship Program (CQFP) welcomed its 16th class last week at the Louis V. Gerstner Conference Center in Armonk, NY. The event included a two-day retreat that focused on the role of quality in health care, how regulatory and accrediting bodies intersect with quality, quality improvement (QI) tools and methodologies, and teamwork and mentorship in QI. Event attendees—including fellows, faculty members, and program mentors—also enjoyed the retreat’s networking opportunities.

This year’s CQFP class comprises 15 physicians, 11 nurse professionals, and three physician assistants representing 25 unique facilities. Various specialties are represented, including emergency medicine, ambulatory care, internal medicine and geriatrics, nursing leadership, psychiatry, obstetrics and gynecology, and quality and patient safety. Fellows are required to lead a QI capstone project at their facility under the guidance of an expert mentor.
