City Council to Consider Language Services and Equitable Care

The New York City Council Hospitals Committee held an oversight hearing on “Access to Language Services and Equitable Care in NYC Hospitals During COVID-19” this morning.

Lloyd Bishop, GNYHA Senior Vice President for Community Health Equity Policy and Services, testified on behalf of our members. His testimony covered language access pandemic planning and response, language services and COVID-19 vaccination, and COVID-19 community outreach. A video of the hearing will be available here. Carlina Rivera (D-Manhattan) chairs the Hospitals Committee.
