Rapid Response Systems (RRS), also referred to as medical emergency teams, are designated teams of clinicians who identify patients at risk, respond to early signs of acute deterioration, and bring critical care expertise to the bedside before patents decline into a critical state. In partnership with the United Hospital Fund, GNYHA developed the RRS Collaborative, which provided participating hospitals with technical resources, implementation experiences, and best practices to effectively initiate and maintain RRS. The resulting toolkit and resources are available for member hospitals’ use.
