NYS Physician Workforce

GNYHA is involved in a variety of physician workforce initiatives administered by the New York State Department of Health. Many of these initiatives address physician shortages in underserved areas of the State. The New York State Council on Graduate Medical Education (COGME) oversees many of these programs. GNYHA actively participates in COGME activities and advocates for several GME and workforce programs, including Doctors Across New York and the Empire Clinical Research Investigator Program.
