Ariana Cember joined GNYHA’s Center for Community Health, Diversity and Health Equity in 2019. Her responsibilities include supporting member hospitals with community engagement initiatives and reducing health disparities for diverse populations, including the LGBTQ+ community. Prior to joining GNYHA, she worked as a community educator at a nonprofit supporting crime victims in Westchester County, acting as an advocate and liaison with local colleges and school districts to prevent and effectively respond to sexual violence. Ms. Cember earned a BA in Political Science and a minor in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from SUNY New Paltz.
