Similar to the last several weeks, all NYC hospitals will receive a Hospital PPE Support Package this week. Starting this week and in subsequent weeks, deliveries will begin on Mondays at 7:00 a.m.
- Hospitals that are part of the following health systems will receive their deliveries on Tuesday, April 13, and every Tuesday subsequently: Mount Sinai Health System, NewYork-Presbyterian Health System, and NYC Health + Hospitals.
- All other hospitals will receive their deliveries on Monday, April 13, and every Monday subsequently.
Please notify your loading dock personnel that they should expect the Hospital PPE Support Packages between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. We hope to minimize off-hour deliveries as much as possible.
The weekly PPE Support Packages will consist of:
- N95 respirators (3M, Halyard, Gerson, etc., of various models)
- Surgical masks
- Eye protection (either face shields or goggles)
This week, hospitals will also receive coveralls of various types and another allocation of post-mortem bags.
The amount that each hospital receives will be determined by an allocation strategy jointly developed by DOHMH, NYCEM, City Hall, NYC Health + Hospitals, and GNYHA. It takes into account overall hospital size and COVID-19 patient burden. DOHMH will work to deliver a similar quantity of supply to each hospital week over week in order to support internal planning.
Urgent Supply Requests
Between weekly shipments, hospitals may still request PPE through the established resource request process if experiencing a challenge of less than two days on hand of an item or items. The hospital should complete the Supply Request Form and email it to email@example.com. GNYHA staff will review the form. If a hospital has no stock on hand, GNYHA staff will assign it “life safety” priority and DOHMH will fulfill what is available either the same day or early the next morning, depending on the time of the request. If a hospital has two days or less of stock on hand, GNYHA staff will assign it “high” priority and DOHMH will fulfill what is available the next day or early morning the second day.
Thank you for the heroic work you are doing during this difficult time. If you have any questions about the plans and processes outlined above, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
