The New York State Department of Health (DOH) has issued updated COVID-19 vaccine clinical guidance in response to updated recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). DOH’s updated guidelines include clarifications for moderately to severely immunocompromised individuals, persons who received passive antibody products as treatment, post-exposure prophylaxis or pre-exposure prophylaxis for COVID-19, and patients who develop myocarditis or pericarditis after receipt of an mRNA vaccine The DOH guidelines also include updates on booster doses for persons vaccinated outside the United States.
