NYC DOT Parking Permits Extended Through August 31, 2021

June 29, 2021

The New York City Department of Transportation (NYC DOT) is extending previously issued parking permits to City health care workers until August 31, 2021. The permits, initially issued in March 2020, have been extended several times and were scheduled to expire tomorrow (June 30).

GNYHA urges member hospitals, health systems, and long-term care facilities that received these permits to immediately communicate this extension to employees with permits so that the permits are not discarded. Health care employees who properly display these permits in their vehicles should neither be issued a summons nor be booted or towed if parked in valid locations. Information about COVID-19 parking privileges is attached.

DOT is providing no new permits at this time.
