GNYHA, in collaboration with the New York State Attorney General’s (AG) reproductive health task force, will host a two-part educational series on the evolving status of abortion law and accessing abortion services in New York. The AG’s task force provides free legal services to patients and providers on reproductive health services.
The first briefing will be held on April 27 and will be geared toward clinical leaders, in-house attorneys, and other hospital administrators. The briefing will feature speakers from the AG’s office; the law firm Paul, Weiss; and the New York Civil Liberties Union. The tentative agenda includes New York State laws and rules on the provision of abortion services, including recently enacted laws to protect patients and providers.
The second briefing will be held on May 4 and will be for in-house attorneys.
