On Thursday, House Energy & Commerce Committee Chairman Frank Pallone (D-NJ) called in to GNYHA’s Board of Governors meeting to discuss important health care issues over which the Committee has jurisdiction, including Medicaid disproportionate share hospital (DSH) cuts, surprise billing legislation, infrastructure funding for hospitals, protecting the 340B program, and rising prescription drug costs.

Since Representative Pallone became Chairman this year, GNYHA has been in near constant contact with the majority committee staff, and we have submitted comment letters on both infrastructure funding and surprise billing legislation. We are grateful for Chairman Pallone’s participation in our Board meeting, and we look forward to a continued partnership.
