GNYHA continues to make significant emergency preparedness and response investments on behalf of our member hospitals and health systems. For example, all New York State members can now access Sit Stat 2.0, a comprehensive web-based incident management system designed to enhance daily operations and manage and document emergency incidents, at no cost.
Sit Stat 2.0 builds on an earlier version (Sit Stat) that was developed for GNYHA members in the downstate region (New York City, Long Island, and the Greater Hudson Valley), as well as several workgroup projects that have fostered improved communication and collaboration with response agencies. GNYHA is now pleased to offer this new system to all of our New York State members.
At a later stage, GNYHA member hospitals and health systems will be encouraged to share appropriate information with one another and agency response partners to form a health and medical situational awareness platform, thereby enhancing regional preparedness and response capabilities.
GNYHA held a Sit Stat 2.0- kickoff meeting with hospital and health system emergency managers earlier this month. Members have been asked to sign a Participation Agreement that outlines use and maintenance of their Sit Stat 2.0 license, including meeting minimum use standards. GNYHA is also forming an Advisory Council comprised of hospital and health system members to assist with system implementation and innovation.
