The New York State Department of Health (DOH) is suspending daily COVID-19 Health Electronic Response Data System (HERDS) reporting requirements for hospitals, nursing homes, and adult care facilities on Saturdays, Sundays, and State and/or Federal holidays. This change is effective Saturday, June 11, 2022. Monday through Friday reporting will continue, as will other reporting requirements. GNYHA appreciates DOH’s acknowledgement of the daily reporting burden and for the welcome relief on weekends and holidays.
DOH also extends its sincere appreciation for the commitment of hospitals, nursing homes, and adult care facilities over the past 27 months to report this data to the Department, which has helped to inform decisions, calibrate protective policies, and save lives.
