GNYHA will host a webinar on February 25 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. to review its plan for administering the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s (AHRQ) Hospital Survey on Patient Safety (HSOPS) 2.0. GNYHA will briefly recap the changes AHRQ made to the HSOPS survey following the transition from HSOPS 1.0 to HSOPS 2.0 and describe the framework for administering the survey on behalf of members this spring.
GNYHA also will outline its plan to support members throughout the HSOPS 2.0 survey process, starting with administering the survey and ending with implementing actionable and data-driven performance improvement strategies. GNYHA also will detail some of its offering’s unique features, including real-time dashboards and unit-level reporting.
GNYHA’s HSOPS Experience
GNYHA has extensive experience working with members to administer and analyze AHRQ’s HSOPS 1.0 survey. Additionally, through the New York State Partnership for Patients initiative, GNYHA staff worked with member hospitals to develop targeted action plans based on survey findings leading to improved unit-level processes. GNYHA will extend this service (at no cost) to all member hospitals for the HSOPS 2.0 survey.
In October 2019, AHRQ released its first HSOPS update in 15 years. For more information on HSOPS 2.0 and AHRQ’s transition plans, please click here. Additional safety culture survey resources are available via AHRQ’s Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture Toolkit.
