The National Weather Service (NWS) reports that the entire New York City metropolitan area is expected to experience an “explosive” storm system beginning Monday, January 26 and continuing into Tuesday, January 27. The storm is expected to meet the formal definition of “blizzard.” The NWS said the storm has the potential for being a historic, “crippling event.”
