GNYHA and the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) have launched the Psychiatric Clinical Knowledge Enhancement System (PSYCKES) Quality Collaborative, which will focus on improving psychotropic prescribing practices for clients who have cardio-metabolic conditions and who are prescribed antipsychotic medication(s).

The GNYHA/OMH PSYCKES Quality Collaborative is designed to assist hospital-affiliated outpatient mental health clinics with psychotropic prescribing practices that promote both the psychiatric and physical wellness of clients, and ensure that clinical practice is informed by the most current evidence regarding adverse cardio-metabolic effects of certain antipsychotic medications.
