The CCLN was launched in 2006 by GNYHA with support from the United Hospital Fund to optimize critical care services in the New York metropolitan area by engaging physician and nursing leader to share best practices and clinical training resources to maximize efficiencies and standardize care, and apply a collaborative methodology to focused initiatives.

GNYHA is committed to helping hospitals implement safe medication practices. The GNYHA Medication Safety Initiatives are focused on reducing medication-related patient harm through the practical prevention of medication errors, while encouraging a culture of safety in pediatric and adult patient populations.

GNYHA in partnership with the United Hospital Fund developed the Perinatal Safety Collaborative to assist member hospitals with improving the quality of their obstetrical and perinatal care processes and reduce the incidence of perinatal and maternal injuries using a structured and standardized approach to patient care.

The Palliative Care Leadership Network (PCLN) was launched in 2011 with support from the Fan Fox & Leslie R. Samuels Foundation to support and advance comprehensive palliative care services by bringing together subject matter experts, hospitals, and health systems with varying degrees of palliative care experience in a forum to develop and share best practices.

Rapid Response Systems (RRS), also referred to as medical emergency teams (METs), are designated teams of clinicians who identify patients at risk, respond to early signs of acute deterioration, and bring critical care expertise to the bedside before patents decline into a critical state.

To address the challenges presented by sepsis, GNYHA and the United Hospital Fund (UHF) are launching the STOP (Strengthening Treatment and Outcomes for Patients) Sepsis Collaborative.
