Quality and Outcomes Research Committee

The Quality and Outcomes Research Committee (QORC) is an interdisciplinary committee committed to making a substantial contribution to improving healthcare quality and patient outcomes. QORC focuses on:

Quality
Our programs and initiatives assist members with improving the quality, safety, and effectiveness of care for patients. In addition, GNYHA quality initiatives include the development of practical resources, continuous advocacy, and updates on complying with regulatory requirements in an effort to foster hospital cultures focused on patient-centered care.

Outcomes Research
The committee serves as a platform to discuss the latest outcomes research with the GNYHA membership and to solicit feedback for advocacy efforts and new research opportunities in this area. The Health Economics and Outcomes Research Institute (THEORI), based at GNYHA, conducts quantitative analyses in the areas of provider reimbursement policy, comparative provider and patient outcomes, deconstructs health care research and public reporting methodologies, and tracks hospital and general health care market trends and shares its findings with the QORC to inform the members of the latest developments.

GNYHA holds bi-monthly meetings of its QORC members. Meeting information including agendas and meeting materials can be found here.
