Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ): Annual State Snapshots
AHRQ’s State Snapshots allows users to compare the performance measures of different states, highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement in health care quality.
Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS): Hospital Compare
The Hospital Compare website allows consumers to assess individual hospital quality information, including mortality rates for heart attacks and heart failure.
Commonwealth Fund’s State Scorecard
The Commonwealth Fund’s state-specific scorecards rank states on 32 healthcare performance measures – evaluating performance access, quality, avoidable hospital use and costs, equity, and healthy lives.
New York State Department of Health
The State DOH website contains hospital profiles and physician profiles as well as the New York Patient Occurrence and Tracking System (NYPORTS).
