Bridgette Roberts is the Assistant Vice President, Government Affairs. Ms. Roberts assists in representing GNYHA and its members in Albany, particularly before the State Legislature and with State agencies. Most recently, Bridgette was the Health and Legislative Policy Analyst for New York State Senator Kemp Hannon, Chairman of the Senate Health Committee and Health Budget Sub-Committee. In this role she researched and tracked federal and state health care policy initiatives/changes and determined the effects of these programs on New York State. She also met with statewide advocates and lobbyists to ascertain their position on legislation, health budget proposals and agency issues. 

 

Bridgette has also worked in a management capacity at several member institutions, including the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation and The Brooklyn Hospital Center. She is an alumna of GNYHA’s Summer Enrichment Program, class of 1999. Mrs. Roberts received her Masters in Public Health from Hunter College - City University of New York in 2000.
