Dr. Barbara A. Green, Ph.D., is Senior Vice President, New Business Initiatives for GNYHA Services, a wholly owned, for-profit subsidiary of the Greater New York Hospital Association (GNYHA) and GNYHA Ventures, Inc. Dr. Green joined GNYHA more than 20 years ago. During that time she has served in numerous policy and business-related positions, including Director of Public Affairs and Education, Executive Director of the Greater New York Hospital Foundation, Inc., and Senior Vice President of GNYHA. In her current position with GNYHA Services, Dr. Green is responsible for new business development in areas that assist member institutions in improving operational efficiency, patient quality and access, workforce recruitment and retention, and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining GNYHA, she served as Special Assistant to the Executive Director, Bellevue Hospital; Professional Staff Member of the U.S. Senate Labor and Human Resources Committee (staffer of former U.S. Senator Jacob K. Javits); and Director of Educational Programs, American Group Practice Association.
