Tim Johnson is Senior Vice President and Executive Director of Finance and Graduate Medical Education at the Greater New York Hospital Association (GNYHA) and has been with the organization since 1994. In his current capacity, he provides assistance to finance and program staff in GNYHA hospitals in the areas of Medicare GME reimbursement regulations, special State GME funding programs, resident work hour rules, institutional and program GME accreditation, and certification for international medical graduates. Mr. Johnson is also the Executive Director of the GNYHA Foundation, which identifies grant-funding opportunities for individual institutional projects as well as collaborative projects that can serve common needs across multiple institutions. Mr. Johnson writes frequently on GME topics for GNYHA publications and has also written for national publications. He holds a Master of Science degree in Mathematics and Statistics and a Master of Arts degree in Philosophy.
