GNYHA Briefing on HHS "Meaningful Use" Rules (Friday, January 15, 2010)
On January 15, 2010, GNYHA held a member briefing to review two sets of proposed regulations that were released on December 30, 2009 by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC). The rules set forth requirements for hospitals and eligible professionals to qualify for Medicare and Medicaid incentive payments for meaningful use of electronic health records (EHRs) under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA).
