Greater New York Hospital Association
Greater New York Hospital Association (GNYHA), founded in 1904, is a trade association comprising nearly 250 hospitals and continuing care facilities, both voluntary and public, in the metropolitan New York area and throughout the State, as well as New Jersey, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. GNYHA is a dynamic, constantly evolving center for health care advocacy and expertise, but our core mission—helping hospitals deliver the finest patient care in the most cost-effective way—never changes.

GNYHA Helps Members with New Congressional Districts

GNYHA has created an interactive document to help members in New York State see how they are impacted by Congressional redistricting. New lines drawn have reduced the number of districts from 29 to 27.

New York Releases New “Dual Eligibles” Proposal

The New York State Department of Health has released a revised proposal to integrate care and financing for individuals who are dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid.

GNYHA Helps Hospitals Lower C. difficile Rates

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, emphasizing the need to reduce the rate of C. difficile infections in any health care setting, recently identified New York as one of three states in which hospitals lowered their C. difficile rates. In New York, that success was the result of the C. difficile Collaborative GNHYA conducted with the United Health Fund and New York State Department of Health. A C. difficile toolkit to help members implement the program is available.
